What it costs

Nothing. There's no fee for the badge and there never will be, the same way there's no fee to be listed. We don't sell placement and nobody can pay to move up.

Using the badge doesn't change your rank. Not using it doesn't change your rank either. We won't ask you for a link in return, and if you take the badge down next month we won't notice or care. Your position comes out of the methodology on the list page and nothing else.

What you're allowed to do with it

Put it on your homepage, a press page, a pricing page, an email signature, a slide. Scale it if you need to, the image is an SVG so it stays sharp at any size. Two things we ask. Keep it linked to the list page it came from, because a reader should be able to check the claim in one click. And don't edit the image, because then it's no longer a statement we made.

The badge shows the rank you hold today. If your rank changes at the next review, the image changes with it, so it can go down as well as up. That is the point of it. A badge that only ever says what you want it to say is worth nothing to the person reading it.

If the rank is wrong

Tell us. Every entry is scored from published sources and those go stale. Write to mila@topelevens.com with what's out of date and we'll check it. We respond to credible complaints within 5 business days, and corrections are logged on the list page. The methodology and its weights are public, so you can see what moved you.
