Priced identically to ChatGPT Business and better at a narrower thing. Where Claude earns its place on a small business list is long, careful reading: the lease, the supplier contract, the eighty page tender, the year of support tickets nobody has ever analysed. Skills let you write down how your business does a job once and have every future run follow it, which is the closest thing on this list to training a new hire without repeating yourself. Claude Code is a serious tool and it is a developer's tool; treat it as a bonus for whoever in your company already writes scripts, not as a reason to buy.

Skills are the underrated feature for a company of ten: you write down the way your business actually does a job, and the agent follows it rather than improvising a new answer every Tuesday. Team scales from two seats to 150, so it does not break at the point a small business grows. The annual seat price matches the category leader exactly, which means the choice between the two can be made on the work rather than on the invoice.

What customers criticise

Fewer native connections into small business software than Zapier or a CRM native agent, so the same last mile problem applies and applies harder: this is a tool that reasons beautifully about a document and then hands it back to you. Premium seats at $100 a month are a real cost jump once anybody is doing heavy work. And a large part of what is marketed as agentic here is Claude Code, which is aimed at engineers, so a small business with no engineer is buying a smaller product than the feature list suggests.
