Dext review
The AI add-on has a published price, $7 a client a month. The plan it sits on does not.

Verdict
A firm that still types figures off paper should buy document capture before it buys anything else on this page, and Dext is the name most American bookkeepers already know. The problem is the pricing page. Both partner plans, Essentials and Advanced, show a per client per month unit and a blank where the number goes. The only figure Dext publishes on its own United States partner page is the AI add-on: Dext AI Assist at $7 per client per month, core guidance on Essentials and custom guidance on Advanced. At the ten client minimum that is $840 a year for the AI, sitting on top of a plan price you have to ask for. The page also claims integrations with 36 or more accounting solutions and names none of them, which for the firm deciding whether this reaches its ledger is not an answer.
What customers praise
Dext is the only vendor here that puts a number on its AI as a separate line, $7 per client per month, which lets a firm price the decision on its own. The distinction between core guidance on Essentials and custom guidance on Advanced is at least a stated difference rather than a tier name. Annual billed monthly at a 13 percent saving is a fair structure for a firm with seasonal cash.
What customers criticise
Both plan prices are blank on Dext's own United States partner page, so the headline product has no published cost while the add-on does. The ten client minimum rules out a solo bookkeeper with six clients. The annual commitment is a year. And claiming 36 or more accounting integrations while naming none of them is the single clearest example of the gap this whole page is about. A firm cannot plan around a number it cannot see.
Best for
A firm of any size whose juniors open envelopes, photograph receipts and type numbers off them, and that has at least ten clients to put on it.
Red flags
Public risk signals as of September 2026: low. Live product. The Essentials and Advanced partner plans, the per client per month unit, the blank price fields, the ten client minimum, the annual subscription billed monthly at a 13 percent saving, the Dext AI Assist rate of $7 per client per month and the claim of integrations with 36 or more accounting solutions were all read on dext.com/us/partner/pricing on 19 September 2026. No accounting system is named on that page. No adverse public signals found. See the full red-flag report.
