Verdict

The cheapest published seat on this page by a wide margin. Solo is $19 a month, which is $228 a year, against $1,498 for a single Blue J licence and $888 for one Canopy Standard seat. What makes it worth more than its price is the Scale tier's integration list, because it names the tax software: Drake, UltraTax, ProConnect, ProSeries and CCH Axcess, alongside QuickBooks Online, SmartVault and Zapier. Almost nobody in this market names a tax package on a public pricing page. For a small United States practice, that list is the whole decision, because the alternative is a junior retyping a client list into two systems in January.

What customers praise

$19 a user a month is the entry price a solo bookkeeper can say yes to without a spreadsheet. The named tax integrations on Scale are the rarest thing on this page. Month end close is metered separately at $5 a client a month, so a firm with fifteen monthly clients adds $900 a year rather than moving up a tier for a feature it half needs. What customers criticise

The tax integrations only appear on the $69 Scale tier, so the $19 headline and the reason to buy are not on the same plan. Xero is not named anywhere on the pricing page read this run, which rules it out for a firm whose clients sit on Xero. Monthly billing needs five users above the solo tier. And the AI is the thinnest description on this page: the pricing table says AI Features on all four tiers and names none of them, which after Karbon's list of eight is not good enough for a page selling AI.
