Verdict
The right first system for most small manufacturers, because it is the one that assumes the company already has a ledger and does not ask it to move. Production planning and reporting and bill of material management sit on every tier, including the $49 Starter seat, and the pricing page names Shopify and QuickBooks Online among the platforms it connects to. Professional at $69 adds a business to business customer portal and quality control, Enterprise at $99 adds an approval system, a barcode system and multiple production sites, and Unlimited at $149 adds the API and webhooks. Four prices, printed. The trial is 15 plus 15 days and asks for no card. Nothing else on this page states its whole commercial position that plainly, and for a shop replacing a spreadsheet, a price it can read is most of the decision.
What customers praise
It was built for this size of company rather than scaled down from an enterprise product, and it shows in what is included at the bottom of the range: an owner paying $49 a seat gets production planning, reporting and bill of material management rather than a demo of them. The bulk arrangement is published too, so the eleventh user onward comes in at $79 per ten user bundle rather than at a rate you have to ask for. A trial of 15 plus 15 days with no card is long enough to run a real job through it and cheap enough to abandon.
What customers criticise
The per user meter is the wrong shape for a factory. Every operator who clocks onto a job is a user, so the more of the shop floor you put on the system, the more the system costs, and the predictable result is a terminal shared by six people and a set of timings nobody trusts. The API and webhooks sit on the $149 Unlimited tier, which means the join to anything the company has built itself costs three times the entry seat. And there is no free plan, so the only way to see it against your own data is inside a trial window.
Best for
A United States manufacturer of roughly ten to two hundred people that intends to keep QuickBooks or Xero and wants production planning, bills of material and job cost to stop living in a spreadsheet
