Verdict

The only entry here whose AI touches money, which is why it is both the most valuable and the one to watch hardest. Intuit now lists its AI by job rather than by brand: expense categorising and tax deduction hunting on every plan, Accounting AI cleanup and Payments AI chasing from Essentials at $85 a month, reconciliation and profit and loss insight from Plus at $140, Finance AI and a beta Project Management AI at Advanced for $340. For a business already paying for QuickBooks, most of that arrives without a new invoice. That is a different proposition from buying an AI tool, and a better one.

What customers praise

It automates the work an owner actually resents, which is the bookkeeping, and it does it inside the ledger rather than beside it. Every tier price is published, the ladder is legible, and a 30 day free trial runs on all four plans so the test costs nothing. Because the features are described as jobs rather than as a chatbot, the owner can tell which plan buys which outcome instead of guessing what a credit allowance means.

What customers criticise

Several of the most interesting features carry a beta label, including AI Chat and Project Management AI, and beta on a tool that categorises deductions is a different risk from beta on a tool that drafts a caption. The headline monthly prices are the highest recurring numbers on this list before Podium, and the 50 percent discount only runs for three months, so the real cost is the full rate from month four. The AI ladder is also a sales ladder: reconciliation lives at $140 a month and nowhere cheaper, which prices the single most useful piece of automation out of the smallest businesses.

Best for

A United States small business that already keeps its books in QuickBooks and wants the categorising, the chasing and the reconciling done without hiring a second bookkeeper
