Comulate red flags & complaints

Verified public risk signal level for Comulate: elevated (as of September 17, 2026).

Live product with named integrations and stated outcomes read on comulate.com on 17 September 2026. Elevated flag for active litigation: Applied Systems states on its own litigation page, read the same day, that it sued Comulate on 21 November 2025 in the Northern District of Illinois, amended the complaint on 2 January 2026, and that the court declined to mandate the Applied Epic integration beyond 30 June 2026 and denied most of Comulate's motion to dismiss on 1 September 2026. Comulate's own homepage banner frames the same case as Applied foreclosing competition. Both accounts are the parties' own and nothing here is a finding of fact.

What customers criticise (separate from risk signals)

It is built for the top 100 brokers and says so, which makes it the wrong entry for most of the 39,000 independent agencies this page is written for. No price is published. The Applied Systems litigation is unresolved and, on Applied's own account, the court denied most of Comulate's motion to dismiss on 1 September 2026 and let the trade secret and fraud claims proceed. None of that decides who is right, and this page takes no view, but an Applied Epic agency evaluating Comulate is evaluating a supplier whose access to its system of record is being decided in court. The Applied Epic native alternative is Applied Recon, which supports more than 90 percent of certified property and casualty and benefits carriers and posts into the Epic general ledger directly.
