Verdict

A real product against a real problem, ranked last on what it will put in writing. Certificate Hero issues and manages certificates of insurance for brokers and their clients, parses contracts to read the insurance requirements automatically, and flags mismatches between what a contract demands and what the policy provides. Templates are data driven and update when coverage changes, and the clients get 24 hour self service rather than emailing the agency. The evidence it publishes is a Brown and Brown selection, an M.E. Wilson case study and a 2022 ACORD case study award. What it will not publish is a price, a customer count, or the name of a single agency management system, and the phrase real time AMS connectivity with no system named is exactly what the rubric on this page is built to catch.

What customers praise

The contract parsing is the interesting part and it is a genuine model claim: read the contract, compare the insurance requirements against policy data, flag where they disagree. That turns certificate issuing from typing into checking, and mismatches caught before a certificate goes out are errors and omissions exposure that never happens. Brown and Brown selecting it is a meaningful reference for a brokerage sized buyer, and 24 hour client self service takes the request queue off the service team entirely.

What customers criticise

It names no agency management system anywhere on the pages read, only leading agency management systems, which is the single criterion carrying 35 percent of the score. No price, no plans, no trial. Its most prominent award is from 2022, four years before this page was published. And certificates are a volume problem: an agency issuing 40 a month will not recover a five figure annual contract from them, so this is a purchase for a construction, transport or contractor heavy book and nobody else.

Best for

The construction or transport book where a person issues certificates of insurance all day and checks each one against a contract by reading it

Red flags

Public risk signals as of September 2026: low. Live product with contract parsing and agency management system connectivity claims, a Brown and Brown selection, an M.E. Wilson case study and a 2022 ACORD case study award read on certificatehero.com on 17 September 2026. Low flag for naming no integration partner and publishing no price or customer count.
