Verdict

On the narrow question this page asks, does the work land back in the matter, Clio gives the clearest written answer of anyone here. Its Clio Work page says you connect Clio Manage to pull your matters in, then file completed work back to the right matter. Its Vincent in Clio Operate release describes updates to the matter record with lawyer confirmation, and Manage AI states that nothing is ever finalised without your consent. The AI is part of the plan from Core upward rather than a separate add on, and it extracts deadlines from court documents and drafts invoices. The integrations page names NetDocuments, Dropbox, Box, Outlook, Gmail, QuickBooks and Xero. It drops below MyCase on one thing only. The single price Clio publishes is $49 for Starter, and Starter has no AI.

What customers praise

The write-back is stated in Clio's own words in three places, with the lawyer confirming before anything changes. For a firm that has watched a paralegal copy a research memo out of one window and into a matter note in another, that sentence is the whole purchase. NetDocuments is named on the integrations page, which most practice management systems here do not manage, and the accounting links to QuickBooks and Xero are included from Core.

What customers criticise

The price a firm needs is the one Clio will not print. Starter is $49 per user a month and the pricing page itself says AI is No on Starter, so the plan with AI is a quote. Clio Work is per user with a free trial of no stated length and no figure. Clio's own site says 300+ integrations in the menu and 250+ in the integrations page title, on the same day. iManage and LawPay are not on the integrations page we read. Clio's site blocked direct reads behind a browser challenge on 1 October 2026, so every Clio fact here was read through a rendering proxy of Clio's own pages.

Best for

The firm already on Clio, or choosing one system for the next ten years, that wants research and drafting filed back into the right matter rather than pasted in from another tab.

Red flags

Public risk signals as of October 2026: none. Live product. Starter from $49 per user per month, AI on Core and above as part of the plan, Core, Signature, Elite and Clio Work on request, the file completed work back to the right matter line, deadline extraction and draft invoices, and the integrations page naming NetDocuments, Dropbox, Box, Gmail, Outlook, QuickBooks, Xero and TrustBooks, all read on clio.com through a rendering proxy on 1 October 2026 because clio.com returned HTTP 403 to direct reads. No adverse public signals found. See the full red-flag report.
