Verdict

Polaris says gain real time visibility into margins, work in progress and financial performance across every engagement, and keep projects and margins on track as work happens. Only three products here name WIP, and this is one. It is pitched at IT services and consulting firms of any size without the overhead of a full ERP, which is the right promise. The Replicon brand has been folded into Deltek: replicon.com now redirects to deltek.com. No price is printed, and the Polaris page names only Tableau and Power BI, so the join to your books is a question for the demo.

What customers praise

Revenue recognition aligned to ASC 606 and IFRS 15 is named, which matters to a firm with fixed fee work and an auditor. The Replicon time tracking page names SAP, ADP, Jira, Vantagepoint and Costpoint.

What customers criticise

No price and no trial. Accounting connectors are not named on the Polaris page. The improvement figures, 40 percent in time to hire, 20 percent in forecast accuracy and 16 percent in on time delivery, are attributed to firms running on the Deltek platform rather than to Polaris, and no method is given.

Best for

An IT services or consulting firm that wants margin and work in progress live without buying a full ERP, especially one already on Deltek Vantagepoint or Costpoint.
