Verdict
The entry that names its integrations, which sounds like a low bar until you read the other ten. Dental Intelligence lists Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend, Denticon, Fuse and Open Dental by name on its own page, and says the AI Receptionist runs inside Dental Intelligence using data from your practice management system. It launched publicly on 29 June 2026 alongside a product called Explorer, so it is roughly eleven weeks old at the time of writing. What it does with that data is the part worth noticing. It recognises the caller, creates a chart for a new patient, confirms which insurances the practice takes, mentions an outstanding balance and texts a secure payment link during the call. HIPAA, SOC 2 and PCI compliance are all stated on the page.
What customers praise
It knows things a general answering service cannot know. The caller is recognised, the balance is visible, the hygiene recall is visible, and a one time PIN confirms identity before any of that is discussed. Dental Intelligence says more than 10,000 practices use the wider platform and that the average practice increased revenue by $180,000 in its first year, both read on dentalintel.com on 16 September 2026 and both the company's own figures. The AI converses in 70 languages, which for a practice in Queens or Houston is a real operational fact rather than a specification.
What customers criticise
No price, anywhere, for anything. It is an add on to the Engagement Module of a platform, so the real number is three purchases deep and every one of them is quoted rather than published, which costs it the whole of the 20 percent this rubric puts on readable pricing. Eleven weeks of production is not a track record. The page describes the AI as running inside Dental Intelligence using practice management data and does not state plainly that a booked appointment is written back into Dentrix, so ask that question first and get the answer in writing. And it is the wrong purchase for a practice that does not already want the analytics platform underneath it.
Best for
A practice already running Dental Intelligence for analytics, that wants the phone answered by something which can already see the schedule, the recall list and the outstanding balance
