Verdict
Entrée wins this page because it is the only product here that names, as its own modules, nearly every place a food distributor's order goes after it is taken. entrée.QB is a QuickBooks interface, entrée.GL a general ledger, entrée.EDI electronic document interchange, entrée.PAY card and ACH, entrée.NET desktop ordering for customers, entrée.EXPRESS mobile ordering, entrée.POD proof of delivery, entrée.WMS warehouse management and entrée.MW multi warehouse. The core system names catch weight management, standard order guides, customer special pricing and inventory lot control in the same sentence. And when an ordering app sits in front of it, Choco names Entrée on its homepage as an ERP it connects to, which is the join this page ranks on.
What customers praise
No product on this page is built more squarely for a food distributor. NECS says over 1,500 food distributors have chosen Entrée and that it has been at this since 1987. Catch weights, breaking cases, lot control, in house processing, promotions, rebates and bill backs are named on the product page. It is also the back office that the AI ordering tools ranked below plug into: Choco lists Entrée by name.
What customers criticise
No price anywhere on the site, and the modules that do the joining (QB, EDI, PAY, NET, EXPRESS, POD, WMS) are listed as separate products, so the real cost is the core plus the modules you need. The system requirements on the product page are Windows Server and Windows PRO, with cloud hosting offered as a way to run it. The 1,500 distributor figure is a vendor claim. Nothing on the pages read mentions the FDA food traceability rule.
Best for
A United States broadline or specialty food distributor of roughly five to two hundred people that wants catch weights, order guides, lot control, routing, QuickBooks and customer ordering in one system built for food distribution.
