McLeod LoadMaster review

The deepest system here, with named links, but no price.

Verdict

McLeod LoadMaster ranks seventh for a small trucking company, though it is among the deepest systems here. The carrier page lists pricing and bidding tools, trip planning, a Driver Sidekick app with load details and settlements, detention tracking, a general ledger with receivables and payables, a safety and compliance module, an EDI engine and RespondAI, which turns emails into quotes and orders. The integrations page names Geotab, Motive, Samsara and Trimble for ELD, DAT Connexion, Truckstop and 123Loadboard for loads, QuickBooks Online, and Comdata, EFS, T-Chek and Multi Service for fuel.

What customers praise

The integrations page is the most specific of the quote-only vendors. Its MPact.Rate tool says it uses rates sent nightly by active McLeod carriers and brokers, only from freight that actually moved. That is a stated method.

What customers criticise

No price appears and no fleet size is stated. The demo form asks for truck count and number of users. The integrations page says each is available for license. The "1,200+ Companies Served" line on the home page counts all McLeod customers, not LoadMaster ones. RespondAI is presented as a separate product.

Best for

A truckload carrier with an office team that wants general ledger, receivables, payables, EDI and many licensed ELD and fuel connections in one system and will take a demo to see a price.
