The wildcard · #11
Unrated by designNumeo One
This is the one TMS here that comes from a load-search company and prints a $99 minimum for up to ten trucks, with dispatch, accounting, fleet and safety on every plan.
The ten above are scored against the public rubric. The wildcard answers a different question, so it carries no score. It is selected by the wildcard signal model (wildcard-v2.0), read 2026-10-27.
- Under-the-radar coefficientnotable
- Numeo One sits inside the price page of a load-search company, so a carrier shopping only TMS lists is unlikely to see it.
- Impact densitystrong
- A $99 a month minimum covers up to 10 trucks, and the page says every plan has dispatch, accounting, fleet and safety.
- Category fit anomalynotable
- Its seat-priced load-search plans sit beside a per-fleet TMS, and Spot Ultra includes 3 months of Numeo One.
- Price integrity under growthmixed
- The page says overage applies beyond 10 trucks but shows no rate, so growth cost is not visible.
- Ceiling distancemixed
- Only DITAT and QuickManage are named for sync, and no ELD, fuel or settlement detail is given.

Buyer's guide6 questions
What is trucking dispatch software?
Trucking dispatch software is the system a carrier uses to book a load, assign it to a driver and truck, send the details, track it, and then bill the customer and pay the driver. Most small-fleet products now call themselves a TMS. The simplest ones, such as TruckingOffice and ITS Dispatch, cover load entry, invoices, settlements and IFTA at a flat monthly price. Mid-range products such as Truckbase and Vektor add ELD tracking, EDI and driver apps. The largest, such as McLeod LoadMaster and Revenova, add a general ledger, trip planning and safety modules. A carrier is different from a broker. A broker books freight and hires trucks, and a carrier owns the trucks. This list ranks tools for the carrier side.
How is dispatch software different from an ELD or a broker TMS?
An ELD records driver hours and location. Dispatch software plans loads and runs the money. The two meet when the ELD feeds position data into the load. TruckLogics names Motive and Samsara, Truckbase names more than 30 ELDs, and TruckingOffice sells its own ELD that syncs with its TMS. A broker TMS is built to post loads, vet carriers and pay them. Several vendors here, such as AscendTMS, Rose Rocket and Alvys, sell to both sides, so check that the carrier features you need are on the plan you price.
How is trucking dispatch software priced?
There are four common units. Per truck: TruckLogics by truck-count band, Vektor at $30 per active truck, and Truckbase as one of five models. Flat by fleet band: TruckingOffice at $25, $55 or $90 a month and ITS Dispatch at $50, $75 or $99. Per user: AscendTMS at $69 to $149 per user a month. Per load: Alvys, with no dollar rate on its page. Numeo One sets a minimum for up to 10 trucks. A per-truck or flat plan suits a carrier with many trucks and a small office. A per-user plan suits a carrier with many trucks and one or two dispatchers.
Which tools name the ELD, fuel card and accounting products they connect to?
Vektor names the most: Geotab, Motive and Samsara for ELD, Apex Capital, OTR Solutions, RTS and Triumph for factoring, AtoB, Relay, TCS Fuel and WEX for fuel, and QuickBooks. McLeod's integrations page names Geotab, Motive, Samsara, Trimble, Comdata, EFS, T-Chek and QuickBooks Online, each licensed. TruckLogics names Motive, Samsara, DAT, EFS, ProMiles and QuickBooks. Truckbase names more than 30 ELDs and QuickBooks and marks factoring and fuel cards coming soon. ITS Dispatch names only QuickBooks, and TruckingOffice names no third-party product.
What does it cost for a five-truck carrier?
By our arithmetic from the published rates, a five-truck carrier with two dispatchers pays about this per month. TruckingOffice Basic Mid Size $55. ITS Dispatch Carrier $75. TruckLogics Small Fleet $79.95 monthly or $71.96 on yearly billing. Numeo One Basic from $99. AscendTMS Basic for two users $138. Truckbase from $290 billed annually. Vektor $300, the monthly minimum, since five trucks at $30 is $150. Alvys, McLeod and Revenova have no published price, and Rose Rocket starts at $2,080.
Do I need EDI and a driver app?
Only if your customers or drivers ask for them. EDI matters when shippers send tenders and want status messages by machine. Vektor lists 204, 990, 214 and 210 transactions out of the box, Alvys lists native EDI and Truckbase lists customer EDI. A driver app matters when you want drivers to scan paperwork. Truckbase says drivers do not have to use the app, because dispatch and scanning work by text. A carrier that books mostly through load boards and a few direct customers can often skip EDI and start with a cheaper tool.
How to choose
- 1First, count trucks and dispatchers. Per-truck and flat-band plans reward a big fleet with a small office. Per-user plans reward the opposite. Write both numbers down before you open a pricing page.
- 2Second, find your price on the page. TruckLogics, TruckingOffice, ITS Dispatch, Vektor, AscendTMS and Numeo One print numbers. Alvys, McLeod and Revenova do not. If a vendor needs a call to give a price, ask for it in writing for your truck count.
- 3Third, check the minimum. Vektor's $300 minimum covers 10 trucks, Truckbase starts at $290 billed annually, and Numeo One starts at $99 for up to 10 trucks. A one- or two-truck carrier pays the same as a bigger one on those, and TruckLogics or TruckingOffice cost less.
- 4Fourth, list your ELD, fuel card and accounting product and look for each by name. A logo or the word integrations is not a promise. Ask whether the link is included or licensed, as McLeod's is.
- 5Fifth, run the trial on a real week. TruckingOffice gives 30 days, AscendTMS 30 days, Numeo One 14, Vektor two weeks, Alvys Foundations 14 days and TruckLogics 7. Enter real loads, run one settlement and one IFTA report, and see how long each takes.
- 6Finally, read the claims as claims. Customer counts, ratings and time-saved figures on vendor pages come with no method on this list, except McLeod's rate data note. Ask for a reference who runs the same number of trucks as you.
Frequently asked6 answers
What is the best dispatch software for a small trucking company?
On the pages we opened, TruckLogics, because it prints a price for every fleet size up to 24 trucks, names Motive, Samsara, DAT, EFS and QuickBooks, and offers a 7-day free trial. Vektor TMS and Truckbase are the next choices for fleets of about ten trucks and up.
What is the best dispatch software for an owner-operator?
TruckLogics at $35.96 a month billed yearly, TruckingOffice at $25 a month for Basic or $35 for Pro, or ITS Dispatch Owner-Operator at $50. TruckingOffice has the longest trial at 30 days. Skip Rose Rocket, McLeod and Revenova for a single truck.
How much does trucking dispatch software cost?
On the pages we opened, prices ran from $25 a month for TruckingOffice Basic to $2,080 a month for Rose Rocket. In between: ITS Dispatch $50 to $105, TruckLogics $35.96 to $249.95 by truck count, Vektor $24 to $30 per truck with a $300 minimum, AscendTMS $69 to $149 per user, Numeo One from $99, Truckbase from $290. Alvys, McLeod and Revenova show no price.
Is there free trucking dispatch software?
Not as a full TMS on the pages we opened. Free trials are listed: TruckingOffice 30 days with no card, AscendTMS 30 days with no card, Numeo One 14 days with no card, Alvys Foundations 14 days, Vektor two weeks and TruckLogics 7 days. Truckbase and ITS Dispatch offer a demo.
Can the same software handle IFTA?
Several list it. TruckLogics builds IFTA reports from dispatch or ELD data and sells single reports at $24.95. Alvys lists IFTA reporting. AscendTMS lists IFTA reports. ITS Dispatch adds IFTA automation at $5 per truck on Owner-Operator and Pro. Vektor and Truckbase pages do not mention IFTA.
How often is this list updated?
We re-score every 90 days, and the next review is 2027-01-25. If a vendor changes a price or retires a plan before then, the list may be out of date, so confirm every figure on the vendor's own page before you buy.
How this was scored
Every entry is scored on a 9.4-point scale across 6 weighted criteria, reviewed quarterly. Top 11 takes no payment from any provider on this list. Scores come from a public weighted rubric, and the methodology weights were locked before entry research began. Re-scored every 90 days.
- Every price and feature in this list comes from a vendor page opened on 2026-10-27. If a page returned an error, redirected, or showed no number, we say so and publish no price. We did not use review sites for facts.
- Several candidates were not ranked. Samsara's dispatch URL returned HTTP 404. Motive's dispatch page described a workflow product inside its ELD platform with no price, and was held back as not a stand-alone TMS. tailwindtms.com failed with a certificate error. CarrierOS returned only a page title. Rigbooks is expense software and its pricing page does not mention dispatch. The Axon page we tried is a software development firm. itsdispatch.com reset the connection twice, so ITS Dispatch is read on truckstop.com instead.
- Founding year, headcount and funding were not read on the vendor pages, so those fields are left empty. Headquarters is filled only for Vektor, where the page lists Miami, FL.
- Prices differ in unit: per truck, per user, flat by fleet size and per load. They are not directly comparable, so price them for your own fleet. TruckLogics shows a yearly and a monthly price for each tier, and we show the range. Alvys and Numeo One show no overage or per-load rate.
- AscendTMS prices were read on thefreetms.com, which we believe is the vendor's marketing site. The carrier features page on ascendtms.com did not load, so its carrier feature list comes from the pricing page only.
- The ITS Dispatch carrier page seems to contradict itself on which plans include IFTA automation. We use the plan bullet lists. We did not open a signup page, so any initial charge is unconfirmed.
- Pages were read through a fetch tool that returns a summary of each page, so wording we quote from the pages is as the tool reported it. Confirm any figure that matters to you on the vendor page.
- Scores are an AI editorial judgement against the published rubric, using only the pages we read. Entries without published prices score lower on Price Published by design. That is a statement about the page, not the product. McLeod LoadMaster scores low on small-fleet fit because its pages state no fleet size, not because it is a weak product.
- Customer counts and outcome figures are vendor claims and are labelled as such: Alvys's 3000+ MCs, Vektor's 95 percent auto-dispatch accuracy, Numeo's 500+ companies, Rose Rocket's 100,000+ people and 4.8 of 5, and AscendTMS's number 1 ranking. No vendor has paid for placement. Scores are not a measure of customer satisfaction.
Changelog1 edits
Initial publication. Methodology v1.0 weights Carrier Dispatch & Settlement Depth (25%), Named ELD, Fuel & Accounting Connections (20%), Price Published & Small-Fleet TCO (20%), Owner-Operator & Small Fleet Fit (15%), Back Office: IFTA, Invoicing & Documents (10%), and Claims Backed by Evidence (10%). The #11 wildcard is unrated and selected by the wildcard signal model (wildcard-v2.0). Every price and feature fact was taken from a vendor page opened on 2026-10-27; where a page could not be opened or showed no price, the entry says so.
