Verdict

The safest AI an agency will ever buy, because it arrives without a purchase order, and the hardest to evaluate for the same reason. Vertafore states it has been investing in AI since 2017 and now delivers it through the Velocity platform: RiskMatch predicts retention and identifies cross sell, AgencyOne including AMS360 delivers generative communications, and Sircon flags data anomalies before they cause disruption. Agents for reconciliation, submission processing and email workflow are described as already appearing across the portfolio. For an agency on AMS360 this is real and worth asking the account manager about at the next renewal. It ranks ninth because nothing in it is a product with a price, a plan or a date, and a buyer cannot compare a roadmap to a $149 invoice.

What customers praise

Embedded beats bought for the agency with nobody to run an integration project. RiskMatch predicting retention and surfacing cross sell is the same job Applied Book Builder does on the Applied side, delivered to an installed base that already has the data in place. Vertafore names the specific solutions where AI is live today rather than only describing a future platform, and it commits to human in the loop and to being embedded where people already work. Roper Technologies as the owner is a stability signal an independent cannot offer.

What customers criticise

Nothing here has a price, a plan, a trial or a shipping date, and several capabilities are described as coming next rather than available now. The three headline figures on the page, 80 percent of Generation Z wanting to work with modern technology, 91 percent of insurance chief executives expecting generative AI to help productivity and a 20 percent potential revenue gain, are attributed by Vertafore to Dell Technologies, Deloitte and Bain and Company. They are industry survey numbers, not Vertafore customer outcomes, and they are not treated as evidence on this page. An agency that wants a measurable result this quarter should buy one of the first four entries and revisit this at renewal.

Best for

The agency already standardised on the Vertafore stack that will not add an eleventh vendor and wants the AI to arrive inside the software it already pays for

Red flags

Public risk signals as of September 2026: none. Live platform strategy from Vertafore with named products and capabilities read on vertafore.com/our-ai-approach on 17 September 2026. No price, plan or availability date is published, and the page's three statistics are attributed by Vertafore to third party research rather than to its own customers. See the full red-flag report.
