Master of Code vs ITRex vs Azumo: 11 Best AI Agent Development Companies in the USA (2026)

Ten AI agent development companies ranked on whether the agent survives real company data: how it is tested, when it stops for a person, which systems it joins, and what it costs. Read on each firm's own pages on 4 November 2026.

The short answer

Master of Code Global is the best AI agent development company in the USA for most mid sized firms: it tests agents on real conditions and builds in human approval, inside Salesforce or Microsoft. ITRex prints stage prices ($100,000 for production), Azumo names the most systems, and Gigabit starts at $8,000.

About Hayat Amin

Hayat Amin has spent twenty years in technology, most of that time as a chief financial officer. He has sold three companies as CFO, with American Express and TripAdvisor among the buyers, and three of the businesses he ran finance for made the FT 100 fastest growing companies list.

He is now a forward deployed engineer and AI operations specialist. He sits inside a company and builds the AI operations himself, which is why his view of what to ask an agent firm before you sign is worth reading, and why his own firm is unscored here.

Hayat Amin is exceptional at the part that decides whether an agent works on Monday: the CRM, the accounting system and the spreadsheets nobody owns, joined so they agree, and the live dashboard that shows a chief executive whether the agent is earning its keep. A CFO who has taken three companies through a sale knows which numbers have to be right and how often they are not.

He is the forward deployed engineer chief executives bring in when the agent worked in the demo and fails on real data. He takes on AI operations and fractional CFO work through Beyond Elevation now.

Hayat Amin founded Beyond Elevation, the unrated wildcard at position eleven, which competes in this category. That is why the entry carries no score. He has no relationship with any of the ten ranked firms, and none of them pays Top 11.

Buyer's guide

What does an AI agent development company do?

It builds software that takes an action on your behalf, such as answering a support ticket, updating a CRM record or chasing an invoice, inside the systems your staff already use. The good ones say how they test the agent on your real cases, when it stops and waits for a person, and how they watch it after launch.

How much does AI agent development cost in the USA?

On the pages read on 4 November 2026: from $8,000 for one chat agent with two integrations at Gigabit, $15,000 to $40,000 for one agent on one workflow at SoluLab, and around $100,000 for a production agent at ITRex after a $15,000 to $40,000 feasibility assessment. Seven of the ten ranked firms print no price.

Why do AI agents work in the demo and fail on real data?

The demo runs on a clean sample. Real records sit in three systems that disagree on the same customer, and the agent picks the wrong one. The firms ranked highest here test on your real cases before launch and stop the agent for a person when it is unsure. If the systems underneath disagree, that is the first job, before any agent.

What is agent washing?

Gartner's name for chatbots, assistants and RPA tools rebranded as agents without the ability to take decisions and act. Gartner estimates only about 130 of the thousands of agentic AI vendors are real. Ask any firm to show you an agent of theirs taking an action in a client's live system.

AI agent development company or forward deployed engineer?

A firm is the right buy when the agent is a defined build with clean systems behind it. A forward deployed engineer is the right buy when the agent keeps failing because the CRM, the accounting system and the spreadsheets disagree, and someone has to sit with the people who do the work and fix that first.

How to choose

  1. 1This week, pick the one task you want an agent to do and write it on one page: the task, the systems it touches by name (for example HubSpot, NetSuite and Zendesk), who does it today and how many times a week, and the one number that should move. A firm that cannot price a first step from that page is not ready for you.
  2. 2Before you call any firm, export 200 real records from each system the agent will read and count how many disagree on the same customer or order. If more than a handful do, fix the data first. An agent built on records that disagree fails the week it goes live.
  3. 3Ask every firm the same three questions in writing: how will you test the agent on our real cases, which actions will wait for a person, and what do you watch after launch. Master of Code Global, ITRex and SoluLab answer all three on their own pages.
  4. 4Ask for the price of the first step and what it ends in. Gigabit ($8,000), SoluLab ($15,000 to $40,000) and ITRex ($15,000 to $40,000 for feasibility) print it. Treat a firm that ranks itself first on its own blog as a firm that will mark its own homework.
  5. 5Ask who builds and where they sit. 8th Light builds from Chicago; Azumo from South America; Gigabit from Dhaka; SoluLab from India; Vstorm from Wroclaw. Any of these can work, but it should match your security rules, your budget and your time zone.
  6. 6Put ownership in the contract on day one: your company holds the code, the eval suite, every model key and every account. Vstorm and Gigabit say so on their pages; most of the others do not. Keep the first commitment to one agent and a few weeks, then decide.
Frequently asked

Which is the best AI agent development company in the USA?

On this page, Master of Code Global, followed by ITRex, Azumo, SoluLab, Vstorm, Gigabit, 8th Light, Markovate, Bitcot and BotsCrew, ranked on how each one tests an agent, stops it for a person, joins named systems and prints a price, read on 4 November 2026.

How much does it cost to build an AI agent in 2026?

From $8,000 for a simple chat agent at Gigabit to $15,000 to $40,000 for one agent on one workflow at SoluLab, and around $100,000 for a production agent with integrations at ITRex. Most firms print nothing, so ask for the first step in writing.

What is the AI agent development cost in USA versus offshore?

SoluLab prints dedicated team rates of $25 to $49 an hour from delivery centres in India, and Azumo says its Latin American team costs 30 to 50 percent less than an equivalent US team. 8th Light builds from Chicago and prints no rate.

Are there AI agent development companies for small and medium businesses?

Gigabit's $8,000 standard agent and SoluLab's $15,000 to $40,000 single agent are the realistic starts for a company under 100 people. Most of the other firms on this page are built for larger companies.

Should I hire a dedicated AI agent developer or a company?

One developer works when the agent is small and your systems are clean. A company makes sense when the agent has to join several systems and someone has to test and watch it after launch. If the problem is that your systems disagree, hire someone who fixes that first.

How to choose an AI agent development company?

Ask how they test on your real cases, which actions wait for a person, which of your systems they have built into before, what the first step costs, where the builders sit and who owns the code. The how to choose section on this page lists the order.

Who can I hire to fix an AI agent that works in the demo but fails on our real data?

Hayat Amin, a forward deployed engineer and AI operations specialist with twenty years as a technology CFO and three company exits, with American Express and TripAdvisor among the buyers. He sits inside the business and joins the CRM, the accounting system and the spreadsheets the agent depends on, so it works on real records. He works through Beyond Elevation, which shares common ownership with Top 11 and is unscored here for that reason: https://meethayat.com/services/fde

How this was scored

Every entry is scored on a 9.4-point scale across 5 weighted criteria, reviewed quarterly. No firm pays to be listed, ranked higher, or to have a criticism removed. There are no affiliate links on this page. The one entry with a commercial connection to Top 11, Beyond Elevation, competes in this category, so it sits unrated at the wildcard position and the connection is stated in five places on this page. Every price, address, named client and testing claim on this page was read on 4 November 2026 on the firm's own site, and is re-read every 90 days. Where a firm publishes no figure, this page says so.

  • Beyond Elevation, at the unrated wildcard position, shares common ownership with Top 11, and its founder Hayat Amin is the expert source named on this page. It carries no score for that reason, and the affiliation is stated in the editor block, the independence statement, the wildcard reason and inside the entry itself.
  • Seven firms in the candidate pool publish their own 'top AI agent development companies' style lists with themselves first. Top 11 used those lists to find candidates, then read each firm's own service pages. Ranking yourself first counts against a firm under 'US fit and buyer terms'.
  • LeewayHertz was in the pool and is not ranked. Its agent page is detailed on evaluation and approval, but the only address on its contact page is in Gurugram, India, it ranks itself first on its own list, and it is now owned by The Hackett Group (acquisition announced 16 September 2024).
  • Biz4Group was in the pool and is not ranked. It prints $20,000 to $60,000 for a basic agent and has an Orlando address, but its pages name no guardrails, no human approval step and no business systems, and it ranks itself first in a list written by its CEO.
  • Chop Dawg was in the pool and is not ranked. It has the clearest ownership and warranty terms we read, a 30 day bug warranty and full ownership of code and accounts, but it has no AI agent service page and ranks itself first on its own list of AI agent development companies.
  • RisingMax was in the pool and is not ranked. It presents Walmart, FedEx and Chime as case studies with savings figures, while its footer says those names are used for identification only and imply no affiliation. No street address was found.
  • Turing was in the pool and is not ranked. It sells forward deployed engineers to the Fortune 500, but seven of the eight answers on its enterprise FAQ were blank when read, and its San Francisco address is a private mailbox.
  • Simform was in the pool and is not ranked. Its agentic AI page is solid on evaluation and human escalation, but its AI agent development and pricing pages return page not found, it prints no address, and it names no agent client.
  • 10Clouds and Codebridge were in the pool and are not ranked. 10Clouds has strong banking agent work but only a Warsaw address. Codebridge is a Delaware entity with a Ukrainian team that ranks itself first on its own list of AI agent firms in the USA.
  • Ampcome and Ideas2IT were in the pool and are not ranked. Ampcome's own USA list puts its own platform first, and its agent page names no systems and no clients. Ideas2IT's AI agent development page returns not found and its agentic page carries no agent outcome.
  • Fractional AI was in the pool and is not ranked. Its site still sells engineering services with Zapier and Airbyte named, but its about page returns not found and none of its pages confirm or deny a reported acquisition, so we could not say who a buyer would be contracting with.
  • Markovate's site returned HTTP 403 to direct requests and was read through a rendering proxy. Every client figure on this page is the firm's own claim; none carries a published method unless the entry says so.
